PV System Components
Anyone who thinks that solar energy is just opening the windows and letting the sun shine in is quite mistaken. This is only the very beginning into the study of solar energy. Today, we are encouraged to use the earth’s natural resources for energy as an alternative for fossil fuels. It is believed that if we act now, we can save the planet from environmental disaster. Learning about PV system components is a good way to learn what we as individuals can do to start reversing current trends. The more we learn, the more likely we all are to start acting on what we know.
The PV System Components are made up of many different items. The first of the PV System Components are the solar panels which are the most important component. They convert the suns light into electricity to be used to power the household. Most of us have seen these on buildings and a few homes that have made the jump to solar power. Many find them rather large and unsightly but vast improvements have been made over the years to make them more pleasing to the eye.

The second of the PV System Components is the invertors. This converts current from DC to AC. If your system is connected to the grid the you will need a synchronous inverter. If not then a stand alone inverter will do .Next you will need a charge controller. This is used if you have a battery as a back up. It will control the charging of the battery.
Next in the line of PV System Components is a solar battery. This is a battery that will be able to withstand the regular charging and discharging. This is very important to have if you are not linked to the grid. In the winter months when there isn’t much sunlight the household will have to rely on the electricity stored in the battery. This could be for some time and thus the battery will be depleted. It will then need recharging once there is sunlight again. This discharging and charging will eventually destroy a conventional battery.
The next of the PV System Components is the Grid tie Inverters also known as Synchronize inverters. This will allow any electricity that has been generated to flow back into the grid thus turning the meter back and in so doing will reduce the main grid electricity bill at the end of each month quite substantially. This will prove quite popular with households around bill time.
The second to last of the PV System Components is the solar panel mount. This component holds the panel in the best position to gather sunlight. This adds to the efficiency of the system offering the most energy for the money paid.
Finally, the last of The PV System Components is the solar panel tracking. This will move the panel to track the sunlight continuously ensuring that the system creates electricity continuously for as long as there is sufficient sunlight.
PV system components are quite complex but all work together to make solar energy a viable possibility.
