Solar Toys
Most of us while we were growing up had mechanical or electrical toys to play with. These brought hours of fun and amusement as well as being educational. The problem with these toys is that they were usually powered by batteries. Batteries have a temporary shelf life and eventually end up being thrown away. Batteries take forever to breakdown and can cause their own harm to the environment. No one is saying that an environmental ban on toys is needed but we do need to rethink how we power things. Solar toys provide a good alternative.
There are some excellent solar toys available that are both fun and educational. They are long lasting and provide hours more playtime per sitting than toys powered by batteries. Solar toys also have the added advantage of being powered naturally and not adding to the world’s waste problem.

Toys are important to the entertainment and development of a child. However, why not try to move away from battery powered toys and introduce solar toys. Children love them for their quality on ability to last long. They can also be rest assured that their solar toys are not harming the planet’s future.
